DAY 13 - ANOTHER SHIPMENT OF LEMONS

Leila took a nose dive today. Her blood pressure dropped low and she turned really white. The doctors did a scan and found a hole in her intestine. This explains the reason for her digestion not working and the rise in white blood cells. The pediatric surgeon came in to place a tube in her side to drain the fluid off her belly. They said it would be about 1 to 2 weeks before they could check it again. Then we will see if it is healed or needs more surgery.

Logan was still doing ok. By the end of the day, his blood sugar was slightly high and the medical staff took him off the feeding and started him on antibiotics. This is a precautionary measure for him at this point but they don't seem to think he has the same problem.

I'm tired of lemons. At this point we don't have any lemonade. It's like drinking a tall glass of lemon juice. Still waiting on those miracles.

  1. We are praying for your wonderful family. Sometimes all God wants from us is to be still. Pam and I understand this is hard to do with all the medical blur going on around you. We have been in a very similar position when Sean had his head injury. God understands when we are angry. David examples this emotion in the Psalms. Just know that we are praying with you and for you. Also remember Joshua 1:9, Be strong and courageous... for the Lord is with you.
