THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Logan and Leila. Thank you to all the people who have given their time to do something for us. Thank you to the people who have donated money, gift cards and food. Thank you to all the people who have cried with us. Thank you to the people who have sacrificed. We are grateful for good friends, coworkers, family, and church members who have helped us get to this point. We fully intend to send out thank you cards, but we have so many people to thank that we are overwhelmed.

Please contiinue to pray for Logan and Leila (especially Leila). The next week is going to be tough for her. The doctor told us today that Leila will most likely have heart surgery on Monday. This surgery is common in newborn infants. The heart surgery procedure will be a small incision in her side where the doctor will insert a small titanium clamp to close the blood vessel on her heart that won't close on its own. That titanium clamp will remain inside Leila for the rest of her life. The doctors say that the procedure is routine, but can still be risky.

Hang in there Leila. One day we are going to go home and play together.

  1. Amy,
She looks so precious! I will be in prayer as always on Monday during her surgery. Thank you for the blog. Even though I don't comment often, I am looking at it and praying for the babies, and for you.

  2. Brian and Amy,
I don't know if you remember me. I used to work with Brad Goodwin. I remember you. Ever since Teresa posted the blog link on Facebook I have been keeping up on your blogs on your precious babies. You are two amazing parents already and Logan and Leila are so lucky to have you. I pray that all goes as planned and you will all be together at home as soon as possible. You are in our prayers. If it is ok with you I would like to put you on our prayer list at our church. I have never heard of having too many prayers. Keep your faith and be strong!
